1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Sol Price Widget ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") handles information when you install and use the application on your Android device. We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with applicable data protection laws worldwide, including but not limited to:

3. Data We Collect

We collect no personal data whatsoever. The App does not collect, process, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII) or personal data as defined under any applicable privacy law. This includes but is not limited to:

Names, email addresses, postal addresses, or phone numbers
Device identifiers, IMEI, serial numbers, or advertising IDs (GAID/IDFA)
Precise or approximate location data (GPS, Wi-Fi, cell tower)
IP addresses (we operate no servers that could receive them)
Usage analytics, session data, or crash reports
Browsing history, search history, or app usage patterns
Biometric data, health data, or genetic data
Financial information, payment details, or wallet addresses
Contacts, calendar data, or call logs
Photos, videos, or media files

4. Local Storage

The App stores the following data locally on your device using Android SharedPreferences:

Ticker preferences: Your selected cryptocurrency tickers (e.g., SOL, SKR) — stored as string values
Cached prices: Recently fetched price data (numerical values and timestamps) for widget display

This data:

Is stored exclusively on your physical device in the app's private sandboxed storage
Is never transmitted to any server operated by us or any third party
Is not accessible to other applications on your device
Is automatically and permanently deleted when you uninstall the App
Can be manually cleared at any time via Android Settings > Apps > Sol Price Widget > Clear Data

5. Network Requests & Third-Party API Providers

The App makes HTTPS requests directly from your device to the following third-party public APIs to retrieve cryptocurrency price data:

Jupiter Aggregator API — jup.ag (operated by Jupiter Exchange)
Raydium API — api-v3.raydium.io (operated by Raydium Protocol)
CoinGecko API — api.coingecko.com (operated by Gecko Labs Pte. Ltd.)

Important: We do not operate any intermediate servers, proxies, or backend infrastructure. All API requests are made directly from your device to the third-party providers listed above. We have no access to, and do not log, any aspect of these communications.

As part of standard HTTPS/TLS communication, your device's IP address is necessarily transmitted to these third-party API providers. This is an inherent aspect of internet communication and is outside our control. We recommend you review the privacy practices of these providers:

6. No Accounts, Registration, or Authentication

The App does not require or support any form of account creation, user registration, login, authentication, or identity verification. There is no user account system.

7. No Analytics, Advertising, or Tracking

The App contains:

No analytics SDKs (no Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or similar)
No advertising frameworks (no AdMob, Facebook Ads, Unity Ads, or similar)
No tracking pixels, web beacons, or fingerprinting scripts
No crash reporting SDKs (no Crashlytics, Sentry, Bugsnag, or similar)
No social media SDKs (no Facebook SDK, Twitter SDK, or similar)
No attribution or marketing SDKs

8. Permissions

The App requests only the following Android permissions:

INTERNET — Required to fetch live cryptocurrency prices from the third-party public APIs listed in Section 5
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED — Required to restart the automatic price update schedule after your device reboots

The App does not request or use any permissions related to location, camera, microphone, contacts, storage, phone state, SMS, or any other sensitive Android permissions.

9. Automated Decision-Making

Sol Price Widget performs one automated decision: sanctions region screening at app startup using SIM card, network carrier, and device locale signals. If your device is detected in a sanctioned jurisdiction, the App displays a compliance screen restricting access. This decision is based on legitimate interest in regulatory compliance (GDPR Art. 22(2)(b)) and does not produce legal effects beyond restricting access to the App’s informational features. 10. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 16 (or 13 under COPPA in the United States). We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children. Since we collect no personal data from any user, no special provisions for children’s data are required. The App displays cryptocurrency market data and is intended for users aged 18 and over.

11. International Data Transfers

Since we collect and store no personal data, there are no international transfers of personal data by us. The direct API requests from your device to third-party providers (Section 5) may involve data transmission to servers located in various countries. These transmissions are initiated by your device and are governed by the respective privacy policies of those providers.

12. Data Security

All network communications between your device and third-party APIs use HTTPS with TLS encryption. Since no personal data is collected, stored, or transmitted by us, data security risks are inherently minimised. Local data stored on your device is protected by Android's application sandboxing architecture.

13. Your Rights

While we collect no personal data (making most data subject rights inapplicable), we respect the following rights under applicable laws:

14. Data Retention

We retain no personal data. Locally cached price data and preferences are retained on your device until you clear the app data or uninstall the App. There is no server-side data retention.

15. Do Not Track

The App respects Do Not Track (DNT) signals by default — we perform no tracking of any kind regardless of your DNT settings.

16. Local Storage Disclosure (ePrivacy)

For the purposes of the EU ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC) and its national implementations: Sol Price Widget stores configuration data on your device using Android SharedPreferences. This storage is strictly necessary for the functioning of the application (exempted from consent requirements under Art. 5(3)) and does not involve any tracking, profiling, advertising, or cookie-equivalent functionality. The App does not use cookies, web storage, or any browser-based tracking mechanisms.

17. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any material changes will be reflected with an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

18. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Australia, without regard to conflict of law principles. This does not affect your statutory rights under your local data protection laws, including GDPR (EEA/UK), CCPA/CPRA (California), LGPD (Brazil), APPI (Japan), PIPA (South Korea), PDPA (Singapore), or other applicable regulations.
