SolSow ("the App") is a gardening information application that provides location-aware planting guidance. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information. The App is developed and maintained in Australia.
The App requests coarse location access (ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION) to determine your approximate growing zone and provide region-appropriate planting recommendations. Location data is processed entirely on your device to match against bundled growing zone definitions. Your location is never transmitted to any external server.
If you choose to use the optional Sign In With Solana (SIWS) feature, your public wallet address is stored locally on your device using Android EncryptedSharedPreferences. The App verifies Seeker Genesis Token (SGT) ownership via the public Solana blockchain. If you use Settings → Restore purchase, the App sends your public wallet address to Solana RPC services to read your wallet's public, already-on-chain transaction history and locate your past Pro payment; this reads public blockchain records only, signs nothing, and stores nothing beyond the unlock flag on your device. We never have access to your private keys, seed phrase, or wallet funds.
Your garden data, preferences, and the Pro unlock flag may be included in Android's standard system backup (for example, Google backup), under the backup provider's own terms. Wallet data is explicitly excluded from the App's backup rules. The in-app "Garden backup" export writes a file only to the location you choose, and only when you tap Export.
Your preferences (selected growing zone, notification frequency, favorite plants, display settings, disclaimer acceptance) are stored locally on your device using Android SharedPreferences.
The App sends anonymous, aggregate usage events (for example: app_open, guide_opened, plant_tracked) to our own analytics service, hosted on Vercel. Each event contains only the event name — no user ID, device ID, wallet address, fingerprint, or any other identifier. An approximate country/city is derived at Vercel's network edge and stored solely as an aggregate daily count; your IP address is never logged or stored. Because no individual can be identified or singled out, this data is anonymous within the meaning of GDPR Recital 26 and comparable privacy laws (CCPA, LGPD, APPI, PIPA). For transparency, the aggregate totals are publicly viewable at solsow-analytics.vercel.app/public-stats.
We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. Specifically, we do not use:

No personal data is transmitted to or stored on external servers; the only information held on our servers is the anonymous aggregate usage counters described in Section 2.4, and the transient requests described in Section 5. If you uninstall the App, all locally stored data is permanently deleted by the Android operating system.

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete such information.
The App is available globally through the Solana Seeker dApp Store. As all data is stored locally on your device and no personal data is transmitted to external servers, there are no cross-border data transfers to consider.
