1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using SolSow ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

SolSow is a gardening information application that provides general planting guidance based on geographic location and time of year. The App uses data compiled from publicly available government agricultural resources to suggest what plants may be suitable to sow, transplant, or harvest in a given region and season.

Important: SolSow is an informational tool only. It does not constitute professional agricultural, horticultural, botanical, or any other professional advice. The App is intended for general educational and informational purposes only.

3. Not Professional Advice

The information provided by the App is for general educational and informational purposes only. It does not constitute and should not be relied upon as professional agricultural, horticultural, botanical, or any other form of professional advice.

You should always:

Consult local agricultural extension services for advice specific to your exact location
Consider your specific microclimate, soil type, elevation, and local weather patterns
Seek advice from qualified horticulturists or agricultural professionals for commercial growing
Verify planting information against multiple authoritative local sources

4. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

SolSow does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or timeliness of any planting information provided. Growing conditions vary significantly by:

Specific geographic location and microclimate
Soil type, pH, and drainage characteristics
Elevation and aspect
Year-to-year and seasonal weather variations
Local pest and disease pressure
Specific plant cultivar or variety

5. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL SOLSOW, ITS DEVELOPERS, CONTRIBUTORS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

Crop failures or poor yields
Agricultural or financial losses
Plant damage, disease, or death
Time or resources spent on gardening activities
Any other damages related to planting decisions made based on information provided by the App

This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory under which such damages are sought.

Australian Consumer Law: Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy conferred on you by the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010) or any other applicable law that cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified by agreement.

6. Data Sources and Attribution

Planting data in the App is compiled from publicly available sources including:

FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization) Crop Calendar
USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) Agricultural Extension publications
Government horticultural resources from various countries

The App does not claim ownership of public domain data sourced from government publications. All data has been compiled, reformatted, and adapted for the App's growing zone system. Attribution information is provided within the App.

Weather data attribution: Live frost forecasts (an optional SolSow Pro feature) contain weather forecast data from the Norwegian Meteorological Institute (MET Norway, api.met.no), licensed under the Norwegian Licence for Open Government Data (NLOD) 2.0 and Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0), and from Open-Meteo.com, licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0). Forecast data is provided “as is” without warranty of accuracy; actual frost timing may differ from forecasts, and you remain responsible for protecting your plants.

7. Wallet Integration

The App offers an optional Sign In With Solana (SIWS) wallet integration feature. By connecting your wallet, you acknowledge that:

Blockchain transactions are irreversible
The App does not access, manage, or control your wallet funds
The App does not initiate any financial transactions
The App is not a financial product and does not provide financial advice
Wallet connection is entirely optional and not required to use the App's core features

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the App for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the App
Use the App in any way that could harm, disable, or impair the App
Redistribute, sell, or commercially exploit the App's data without permission

9. Intellectual Property

The App's design, code, user interface, and original written content are the property of the developer. Public domain agricultural data included in the App remains in the public domain.

10. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

11. Termination

You may stop using the App and uninstall it at any time. All locally stored data will be permanently deleted upon uninstallation.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria, Australia.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
