1. Nature of the Application
VeriCapture ("the App") is a media verification tool designed for the Solana Seeker device. The App creates SHA-256 hashes of photos and videos using a two-stage hash chain (Stage 1 = content hash of the media file, Stage 2 = sealed hash for tamper detection) and records those hashes on the Solana blockchain via the Memo Program.
VeriCapture does not upload, transmit, or store your photos, videos, or any media files to any server, blockchain, or third party.
VeriCapture does not constitute legal evidence, legal proof, or official documentation of media authenticity in any jurisdiction.
VeriCapture is not a forensic, legal, or investigative tool.
On-chain hashes are immutable and cannot be edited, deleted, or removed once confirmed on the Solana blockchain.
2. Hash Immutability
Once a SHA-256 hash is recorded on the Solana blockchain, it is permanent and irreversible. You acknowledge and accept that:
There is no mechanism to delete, modify, or redact an on-chain hash after confirmation
MidMightBit Games cannot remove or alter on-chain hashes on your behalf or at your request
You are solely responsible for deciding which media files to hash before confirming the on-chain transaction
Hash immutability is a fundamental characteristic of blockchain technology, not a defect
Consider carefully before recording hashes on-chain. Once confirmed, they exist permanently on the public Solana blockchain.
3. Not Legal Evidence
On-chain media hashes created by VeriCapture are not legal evidence. You acknowledge that:
Hashes may not be admissible in any court, tribunal, arbitration, or legal proceeding
Hashes prove only that a specific media file produced a specific hash output at a specific time — they do not independently verify the authenticity, origin, or unaltered nature of the underlying photo or video
Hashes do not replace professional forensic analysis, chain-of-custody documentation, or expert authentication of media files
The admissibility and weight of blockchain records varies by jurisdiction and is not guaranteed
VeriCapture is not a substitute for professional legal, forensic, or investigative services
You should not rely on VeriCapture as your sole or primary method of proving the authenticity of photos or videos for legal, regulatory, or compliance purposes.
4. Media Accuracy
The accuracy of media hashes depends entirely on the media file itself at the time of hashing. VeriCapture hashes the file as-is and does not independently verify the accuracy or authenticity of the source media. You acknowledge that:
VeriCapture does not verify whether a photo or video was altered, edited, or manipulated before hashing
VeriCapture does not verify the origin, creator, or capture device of any media file
VeriCapture does not verify EXIF metadata, GPS coordinates, or timestamps embedded in media files
A valid on-chain hash proves only that the file existed in its hashed form at the time of recording — it does not prove the file is an unmodified original
MidMightBit Games makes no representations about the accuracy, completeness, authenticity, or reliability of any media file hashed through the App.
5. Cryptocurrency and Blockchain Risks
VeriCapture interacts with the Solana blockchain to record proofs and to process the optional one-time VeriCapture Pro purchase (0.01 SOL or 10 SKR). By using blockchain features, you acknowledge the following risks:
Volatility: The value of SOL and SKR tokens may fluctuate significantly. Prices denominated in tokens may vary in fiat-equivalent value.
Network Fees: Solana network transaction fees are payable on every proof and on the Pro purchase, are in addition to any price, and are beyond our control.
Network Availability: The Solana blockchain may experience congestion, downtime, or degraded performance. Proof recording may be delayed or fail.
Irreversibility: Blockchain transactions are irreversible. Once a payment is confirmed on-chain it cannot be reversed by us. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable consumer protection laws that cannot lawfully be excluded. Except as required by such laws, purchases are final and non-refundable.
Wallet Security: You are solely responsible for the security of your wallet, private keys, and seed phrases. MidMightBit Games cannot recover lost or stolen funds.
Regulatory Risk: Cryptocurrency regulations may change. Future legal or regulatory developments may affect the availability or functionality of blockchain features.
6. No Professional Advice
Nothing in VeriCapture or its associated materials constitutes financial, legal, forensic, photographic, or other professional advice. The App is a utility tool and should not be treated as a substitute for professional services, legal counsel, or expert consultation.
7. Wallet Connection & Blockchain Interactions
VeriCapture offers optional wallet connectivity features via the Solana blockchain. By connecting a wallet or engaging in any blockchain-related interactions through the App:
You do so entirely at your own risk.
MidMightBit Games is not responsible for any loss of funds, tokens, or digital assets.
Blockchain transactions are irreversible. You are solely responsible for verifying all transaction details before confirmation.
MidMightBit Games does not custody, control, or have access to your wallet, private keys, or digital assets at any time.
8. Assumption of Risk
By downloading, installing, or using VeriCapture, you acknowledge and agree that:
You understand the nature of SHA-256 hashing, the two-stage hash chain, and the immutability of blockchain records as described in this disclaimer.
You assume all risk associated with the use of the App and any reliance on its media verification features.
MidMightBit Games shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or harm arising from your use of or reliance on the App, including but not limited to the immutability of on-chain hashes, failed proof recordings, or the non-acceptance of hashes as proof of media authenticity.
You are solely responsible for determining whether VeriCapture is adequate and appropriate for your particular use case.
You have the legal right to hash the media files processed through the App.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MidMightBit Games, its officers, employees, agents, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use VeriCapture.

MidMightBit Games reserves the right to update or modify this disclaimer at any time. Changes will be posted to this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after any such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised disclaimer.
