The Book of Enoch (1 Enoch) is an ancient Jewish religious work, traditionally ascribed to Enoch, the great-grandfather of Noah. The text survives in its entirety only in the Ge'ez language (Classical Ethiopic). R.H. Charles' 1917 English translation is one of the most widely referenced scholarly translations and has been in the public domain for over a century.
