VeilScreenSkr — Sanctions Policy

Effective: 7 August 2026

1. Regulatory Compliance

VeilScreenSkr ("the App") is developed and published by MidMightBit Games (Melbourne, VIC, Australia). We are committed to compliance with all applicable international sanctions and export control regulations, including but not limited to:

• OFAC — United States Office of Foreign Assets Control
• EU — European Union restrictive measures
• UK OFSI — United Kingdom Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation
• UN — United Nations Security Council sanctions
• Australian DFAT — Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade consolidated sanctions list

The App implements on-device geographic detection to restrict access from sanctioned jurisdictions. By using VeilScreenSkr, you represent and warrant that you are not located in, a resident of, or a national of any sanctioned jurisdiction, and that you are not a person or entity on any applicable sanctions list.

2. Sanctioned Jurisdictions (Blocked)

Access to VeilScreenSkr is blocked from the following twenty-one (21) sanctioned jurisdictions:

• Afghanistan (AF)
• Belarus (BY)
• Central African Republic (CF)
• Cuba (CU)
• Democratic Republic of the Congo (CD)
• Haiti (HT)
• Iran (IR)
• Lebanon (LB)
• Libya (LY)
• Mali (ML)
• Myanmar / Burma (MM)
• Nicaragua (NI)
• North Korea / DPRK (KP)
• Russia (RU)
• Somalia (SO)
• South Sudan (SS)
• Sudan (SD)
• Syria (SY)
• Venezuela (VE)
• Yemen (YE)
• Zimbabwe (ZW)

Users detected in these jurisdictions will be unable to access the App's functionality.

3. Restricted & High-Risk Jurisdictions (Blocked)

The following eight (8) jurisdictions are subject to partial sanctions, sector-specific restrictions, or are considered high-risk under one or more of the regulatory frameworks listed above. The App applies the same block to these jurisdictions:

• Bosnia and Herzegovina (BA)
• Burundi (BI)
• Chad (TD)
• Eritrea (ER)
• Guinea (GN)
• Guinea-Bissau (GW)
• Iraq (IQ)
• Ukraine (UA)

In total, access is blocked from twenty-nine (29) jurisdictions (Sections 2 and 3 combined).

4. Occupied Territories

Sanctioned occupied territories — Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia and Sevastopol — are covered by the App's country-level blocks: the App blocks all of Ukraine (UA) and all of Russia (RU), which together encompass these territories. The App's on-device detection cannot distinguish individual territories within a country.

5. Detection Method

VeilScreenSkr determines the user's jurisdiction using on-device signals only. These include:

• SIM country code — the mobile country code (MCC) reported by the device's SIM card
• Network country code — the country code reported by the mobile network operator
• Device locale — the language and region settings configured on the device
• Timezone — the device's current timezone setting

If any of these signals indicate a sanctioned or restricted jurisdiction, access may be denied.

5.1 No GPS or Location Services

VeilScreenSkr does not use GPS, fine location, coarse location, or any other location service APIs. The App does not request or require location permissions.

6. Privacy-Preserving Design

Sanctions compliance is performed entirely on-device. Specifically:

• No location data is transmitted to any server, API, or third party.
• No geographic signals are stored, logged, or persisted beyond the immediate runtime check.
• No GPS coordinates are accessed or collected at any time.
• No personally identifiable information is used for sanctions screening.

7. Circumvention Prohibited

Any attempt to circumvent, bypass, or defeat VeilScreenSkr's geographic restrictions is strictly prohibited. Prohibited circumvention methods include, but are not limited to:

• Use of virtual private networks (VPNs) to mask geographic location
• Use of proxy servers, Tor, or similar anonymization tools
• SIM spoofing, SIM swapping, or use of foreign SIM cards to misrepresent location
• Manipulation of device locale, timezone, or network settings to evade detection
• Use of modified, rooted, or jailbroken devices to bypass geographic checks

Any user found to be circumventing sanctions restrictions may have their access to the App terminated immediately and may be subject to legal action under applicable law.

8. Disclaimer

While MidMightBit Games makes commercially reasonable efforts to comply with all applicable sanctions, no on-device detection method is infallible. MidMightBit Games does not guarantee that access will be blocked from every sanctioned jurisdiction under every circumstance.

Users are solely responsible for ensuring that their use of VeilScreenSkr complies with all laws and regulations applicable to their jurisdiction.

9. Changes to This Policy

MidMightBit Games reserves the right to update the list of sanctioned jurisdictions and detection methods at any time to reflect changes in international sanctions regimes. Updates will be posted to this page with a revised effective date.
