Summary: SolHerd does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personally identifiable information (PII). All application data is stored locally on your device only.
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how SolHerd ("the App"), developed and published by ADappvark ("we", "us", "our"), handles information when you use our cattle breeding intelligence application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.
SolHerd is distributed exclusively via the Solana Seeker dApp Store.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
SolHerd does not collect any of the following:
- Names, email addresses, or other personal identifiers
- Location data or GPS coordinates
- Device identifiers, advertising IDs, or fingerprints
- Usage analytics or behavioural tracking data
- Photographs, contacts, or media files
- Financial information, cryptocurrency balances, or transaction history
- Health, biometric, or sensitive personal data
- Cookies or web tracking technologies
3. On-Device Data Storage
All data you enter into SolHerd (including herd records, breeding pairs, notes, and preferences) is stored exclusively on your device using Android SharedPreferences. This data:
- Never leaves your device
- Is not transmitted to any server, cloud service, or third party
- Is not backed up to any external service by the App
- Is deleted when you uninstall the App or clear the App's data
4. Sign In With Solana (SIWS)
SolHerd uses the Solana Mobile Wallet Adapter (MWA) protocol for Sign In With Solana (SIWS). This authentication method:
- Is used solely for identity verification within the dApp Store ecosystem
- Is read-only — SolHerd does not initiate, sign, or submit any blockchain transactions
- Does not access your wallet balance, token holdings, or transaction history
- Does not store your wallet address, public key, or any cryptographic material
- Does not request or receive permission to move, transfer, or modify any assets
5. Market Data Sources
SolHerd displays cattle market data sourced from publicly available government and institutional databases, including USDA, IBGE SIDRA, Eurostat, and the World Bank. These data requests:
- Are made directly from your device to the respective public data APIs
- Do not pass through any ADappvark server or proxy
- Do not include any identifying information about you or your device
Please refer to the privacy policies of these respective data providers for information on how they handle API requests.
6. Breed Data
Breed data and Expected Progeny Difference (EPD) information displayed within SolHerd is sourced from publicly published breed-average EPD summaries provided by various breed associations. This data is bundled within the App and does not require network requests to access.
7. Third-Party Services
SolHerd does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or tracking services. We do not use:
- Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, or similar analytics platforms
- Advertising networks or ad SDKs
- Crash reporting services (such as Crashlytics or Sentry)
- Social media SDKs or login services (other than SIWS)
- Push notification services
8. Children's Privacy
SolHerd is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. Since the App collects no personal information from any user, no special provisions for children's data are necessary.
9. Data Security
Since SolHerd does not collect or transmit any personal data, the primary security consideration is the on-device storage of your herd data. This data is stored within the App's private storage area on your Android device, which is protected by the Android operating system's application sandboxing. We recommend that you secure your device with a screen lock to protect locally stored data.
10. Your Rights
Because SolHerd does not collect personal information, traditional data subject rights (access, correction, deletion, portability) are inherently satisfied. You have full control over all data stored by the App on your device, and you may delete it at any time by clearing the App's data or uninstalling the App.
11. International Users
SolHerd is not available in sanctioned or restricted regions. Please refer to our Sanctions & Restricted Regions page for details. Since no data is collected or transmitted, there are no cross-border data transfer concerns.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of SolHerd after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
